On September 25, Chery Automobile (奇瑞汽车, 9973.HK) was officially listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at an issue price of HKD 30.75 per share. The stock opened more than 11% higher, giving the company a market capitalization close to HKD 200 billion, making it the largest car-making IPO in Hong Kong this year. Founded in 1997, Chery has ranked as China’s No. 1 independent passenger car exporter for 22 consecutive years. As of August 2025, its products have been sold in over 100 countries and regions worldwide, with cumulative sales exceeding 13 million vehicles. Recent investments from IDG Capital have supported its global expansion, equity optimization, and new business development.
