The Hong Kong stock market has seen a surge in IPO activity this year. As of June 30, 43 companies have successfully gone public, compared to only 30 during the same period last year. Notably, IPO fundraising in the first half of this year reached HKD 106.71 billion, surpassing the total of HKD 87.68 billion raised in all of 2024, and marking the highest level in three years. According to exchange rankings, Hong Kong's IPO fundraising is the largest globally. In May and June alone, the total fundraising amounted to HKD 57.28 billion and HKD 27.87 billion, respectively.
