Starting today, China has implemented a pilot visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. From June 9, 2025, to June 8, 2026, ordinary passport holders from the above-mentioned countries visiting China for business, tourism, family visits, exchange visits, or transit can enter China without a visa for up to 30 days. Together with the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, which have had full mutual visa exemption with China since 2018, China has now achieved full visa-free coverage for all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
