Recently, the U.S. solar manufacturing industry made an urgent appeal to the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), requesting a prompt improvement of the tariff regulatory system for solar products from four Southeast Asian countries to prevent a flood of equipment entering the U.S. market. This appeal follows the ITC's final ruling last week, which concluded that solar products exported from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam to the U.S. cause substantial harm to the domestic manufacturing industry. The ruling paves the way for the U.S. to impose tariffs, with specific rates set based on the country and production entity, ranging from 34% to 3521%.
