On May 26, Pan Du, Chief Investment Officer of Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund (Danantara Indonesia) revealed that four Chinese companies plan to invest in electric vehicle manufacturing plants in Indonesia. These companies have expressed interest in areas such as electric vehicle battery development, data centers, and consumer services, with Indonesia planning to review each case individually. Previously, officials from Indonesia's Ministry of Industry mentioned that some car manufacturers, affected by U.S. government tariff policies, are considering investing in electric vehicle and battery manufacturing plants in Indonesia.
