The first BIW is off the assembly line, and Volkswagen Anhui is further away from mass production

Yiou automobile reported on June 23 that the first white body of Volkswagen Anhui was rolled off the assembly line in the new body workshop of its MEB factory yesterday, marking important progress in the trial production of the first new energy vehicle of Volkswagen Anhui. Volkswagen Anhui is promoting production. The pre mass production vehicles will be rolled off the production line this year and will be put into mass production in the second half of 2023. The new car body workshop covers an area of 140000 square meters. The construction took only six months and was completed in February this year. Its completion is only 10 months since the overall construction of Volkswagen Anhui MEB plant began in April last year. The "in-line measurement 2025" technology was first adopted by the body workshop of Volkswagen Anhui MEB factory within the Volkswagen Group. This technology can realize on-line measurement of all BIW production lines, so as to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the whole production process. In addition, there are about 900 robots in the body workshop, and cutting-edge visual repair welding technology is adopted in 50 robot stations, which is also the first time in the group's MEB factory in China. In addition to the body workshop, Volkswagen Anhui MEB factory also covers the general assembly workshop and painting workshop. The factory will be fully completed in the next few months. MEB plant will use green energy for production at the beginning of production, reduce overall carbon emissions through a series of energy-saving measures, and help Volkswagen Group achieve the goal of "carbon neutrality".
