DHL Plans to Invest Over EUR 500 Mn in the Middle East,focusing on Saudi Arabia and UAE

On June 11, German logistics giant DHL Group announced plans to invest OVER EUR 500 million in the Middle East, with a strategic focus on the fast-growing Gulf markets of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This significant investment will be completed by the end of 2030, covering DHL's four business units: DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Supply Chain and DHL E-Commerce. By upgrading its logistics infrastructure, expanding its transportation network and capacity, and enhancing its service capabilities, DHL will provide a comprehensive portfolio of logistics and transportation services to its customers in the Middle East.

“The Middle East is becoming a major trade center, facilitating trade between Asia, Europe and the United States, as well as a gateway to Africa,” said DHL Group.

Earlier(June 9), China has implemented a pilot visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain.From June 9, 2025, to June 8, 2026, ordinary passport holders from the above-mentioned countries visiting China for business, tourism, family visits, exchange visits, or transit can enter China without a visa for up to 30 days. Together with the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, which have had full mutual visa exemption with China since 2018, China has now achieved full visa-free coverage for all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
