Chinese digital twin platform provider DataMesh announced recently that they had completed a Series B2 round of financing for an undisclosed amount.

This round of financing was led by SIG, and Singapore Telecom Innvo8 and a well-known Japanese venture capital fund also participated in this round. The Series B1 and B2 rounds amounted to more than CNY 100 million (USD 15.77 million).

Proceeds from this round will mainly be used to build enterprise Metaverse products and explore the global market.

Meanwhile, DataMesh presented FactVerse, an enterprise metaverse system platform. FactVerse is a full-scene platform built on the DataMesh Digital Twin Platform, covering functions such as process building, operational simulation, and sustainable replicas.

FactVerse is based on the digital twin of facilities and equipment, and is applied in the digital construction of so-called “enterprise self-consistent systems,” such as digital factories, digital airports, digital transportation hubs and intelligent warehousing.

Through the rapid connection of CAD/BIM/IoT and knowledge data, and by blending with mixed reality technologies (XR/MR), FactVerse enables virtual and real mapping and simulation of the physical world and the digital world.

DataMesh digital Twin platform also supports cloud multi-person remote collaboration and adapts to various terminal display devices and AR glasses. FactVerse has the potential to grow into a standard application platform serving front-line personnel in the digital twin era.

"As an international digital twin industry software company, DataMesh will firmly follow the global development strategy, and take the lead in applying enterprise Metaverse technology to support front-line workers’ collaboration, improve productivity, and reduce the loss of knowledge and experience caused by aging and low fertility rate," said Li Jie, founder of DataMesh.

"Industrial software is the cornerstone of all countries' pillar industries, accumulating and iterating empirical knowledge in the form of digital models or professional tools," said Lyu Nan, a partner at SIG.

With the trend of digital twinning, BIM and mass application of enterprise Metaverse technology in the post-Covid-19 era, DataMesh's business in China and overseas has grown significantly. Its SaaS services have secured payment from more than 50 companies in Japan. DataMesh has signed a strategic partnership with NTT DOCOMO, Japan's largest mobile service provider, to promote DataMesh products in Japan. DataMesh has moved its Singapore office to Marina One to expand its presence in Southeast Asia.
