Since this year, Missfresh has been exposed to negative news such as layoffs, withdrawal of cities and closure of core businesses.

Missfresh’s (Chinese: 每日优鲜, MF:NASDAQ) convenience shopping business has been acquired for a final price of USD 30 million today, sources said. At present, Missfresh’s convenience shopping business has 14,000 more units, with about 8,000 units in operation, equivalent to a value of USD 2,142 per unit.

“Convenience shopping business” is an unmanned retail shelf company established by Missfresh in 2017, it is independently financed and Li Yang, vice president of Missfresh, acts as the CEO. Missfresh has completed 2 rounds of financing, with a total amount of USD 197 million.

Missfresh announced that it was laying off staff and closing down its core business on July 28, which accounts for the largest share of its revenue, but did not announce the destination of its convenience shopping business.
