AliExpress(速卖通), Alibaba’s(阿里巴巴)cross-border e-commerce platform, announced a global strategic affiliate partnership with YouTube on October 20, expanding cooperation to the United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil and the United States. The arrangement gives eligible creators another source of products to recommend and provides AliExpress merchants with an additional route to overseas consumers.

Participating creators can feature and tag AliExpress products in videos, Shorts and livestreams, earning commissions on qualifying purchases. Viewers follow product links to AliExpress, where purchases are completed. The integration connects product discovery on YouTube with transactions on the marketplace rather than establishing a separate YouTube-operated storefront.
The expansion follows the launch of cooperation in South Korea in March 2026. AliExpress said further geographic expansion would proceed in phases alongside the rollout of YouTube’s Shopping Affiliate Program. Participation depends on creator eligibility and product availability, so the agreement does not automatically give every merchant access to every channel or audience.
The affiliate model adds a sales-linked incentive to product recommendations. Under YouTube’s general program rules, participating retailers set commission rates and attribution windows, while cancellations and returns can affect final creator earnings. The partnership announcement did not disclose a uniform commission rate or sales target for AliExpress.
For Chinese sellers, the opportunity is to reach potential customers through demonstrations, reviews and other content relevant to their products. Creators can help explain features and use cases that marketplace listings alone may struggle to communicate. AliExpress, in turn, gains a distribution channel beyond traffic arriving directly at its app or website.
That opportunity does not establish that customer acquisition will become cheaper or that viewers will develop lasting loyalty to participating brands. Merchants still need suitable products, competitive offers and dependable fulfillment, while creators must select items that fit their audiences.
The partnership illustrates how a Chinese marketplace can connect its product supply with an established overseas content platform. Its commercial value will depend on creator participation, purchase conversion and the cost of commissions relative to the sales generated.
The next meaningful indicators are attributable orders, returns and repeat purchases. Those results will show whether the integration becomes a sustained distribution channel or primarily generates promotional traffic.
