Shenzhen Transsion Holdings Co., Ltd. (传音控股) set its H-share offer price at HK$35.30 on October 13, ahead of an expected Hong Kong Stock Exchange debut on October 15. The smartphone maker, whose business focuses on emerging markets, would add a Hong Kong listing to its Shanghai STAR Market presence, broadening its access to international equity capital.
The price is at the bottom of the indicative HK$35.30–HK$38.80 range. Based on the initial offering of 86.65 million shares, the transaction would raise approximately HK$3.06 billion before expenses and any exercise of the over-allotment option. Trading is expected to begin under stock code 02636 in board lots of 100, provided the global offering becomes unconditional by 8:00 a.m. Hong Kong time on October 15. Subscription and allocation results are scheduled for October 14.
Transsion sells phones under the TECNO, itel and Infinix brands. Its prospectus records sales of approximately 169 million handsets in 2025, comprising 96.81 million smartphones and 72.23 million feature phones. Its products and services reach more than 100 countries and regions through over 2,900 distributors, giving the company an extensive route to consumers across markets including Africa, South Asia and the Middle East.
In the first half of 2026, Transsion reported revenue of CNY 35.43 billion, up 21.85% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of CNY 1.77 billion, up 46.22%. The offering therefore comes alongside a recovery in its financial performance, rather than relying solely on the scale of its distribution network.
The prospectus earmarks 40% of net proceeds for AI-related research and development, 30% for marketing and brand building, 20% for mobile internet services, IoT products and related initiatives, and 10% for working capital. These priorities connect the financing to product development and broader consumer services.
For Chinese brands expanding overseas, Transsion illustrates how a business built around emerging-market consumers can seek international capital after establishing its operating footprint. The Hong Kong listing would provide an additional financing channel for that strategy. Its longer-term value will depend on sustaining profitability, strengthening its brands and converting handset users into customers for a wider range of products and services.
