Chinese robotics company MagicLab(魔法原子)used IFA 2026 in Berlin to promote integrated automation for European manufacturing and logistics, highlighting a partnership it says it has reached with Slovenia’s national postal operator, Pošta Slovenije. The proposed sorting system offers a potential route into local operations, although publicly available reports do not establish its contract value, commissioning date or customer acceptance status.

At the September 4–8 exhibition, MagicLab presented the MagicBot X1 full-size humanoid, MagicBot D1 wheeled industrial humanoid and MagicDog T1 lightweight quadruped, alongside its Magic-VLA K02 embodied AI model. The company’s pitch combines robot hardware, task-planning software and deployment support, with flexible material handling and parcel sorting as its principal European industrial applications.

Demonstrations showed MagicBot D1 working with HyperBot sorting robots through a shared scheduling system to handle parcel feeding, sorting and transfer. MagicLab reported accuracy above 92% on complex, extended tasks and an interruption rate below 5%. These figures describe company-reported testing and demonstrations, rather than independently verified performance across customer facilities.

According to MagicLab, the Pošta Slovenije collaboration will develop a flexible automated sorting system for postal distribution centres. The company also describes prospective hospital applications for MagicDog T1, including transporting laboratory samples and emergency medicines. Separately, it says MagicDog Y1 robots have undertaken inspections at European energy facilities, while D1 robots handle materials and production-line loading at Dreame(追觅)manufacturing facilities in China. These applications are at different stages and should not be treated as a single record of completed European deployments.

MagicLab has reported more than CNY 1.1 billion in combined orders on hand and opportunities under follow-up. The inclusion of prospective business means the figure does not represent secured backlog alone. The company has also described European certification work targeting completion in the fourth quarter of 2026; that timetable remains a planned milestone.

Alongside industrial projects, MagicLab is expanding distribution through AliExpress’s Brand+ programme. The two channels serve different needs: industrial customers require system integration and ongoing operational support, while cross-border retail can broaden access to selected robot products.

For Chinese robotics firms, MagicLab’s European push illustrates an effort to compete through complete applications and local partnerships. The commercial test now lies in delivery: sustained throughput, reliable operation, maintenance costs and repeat orders. The postal collaboration is a development to watch, but evidence of routine customer use will matter more than exhibition performance in establishing a durable European business.
