Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on autonomous-driving technology integration, fleet operations, and market expansion. CaoCao Mobility will contribute its ride-hailing operations experience and Geely’s vehicle platform resources, while May Mobility will provide its Level 4 autonomous-driving technology and operational expertise.

The partnership marks CaoCao Mobility’s first attempt to expand autonomous mobility services beyond China. It also follows the company’s recent cooperation with UAE-based K2 Group, highlighting a broader overseas strategy spanning both the Middle East and Europe.

Headquartered in Michigan, May Mobility has operated autonomous vehicle programs across multiple US cities. The agreement represents its first publicly announced robotaxi collaboration with a Chinese ride-hailing platform.

The two companies said the cooperation remains at an exploratory stage, with pilot cities yet to be finalized. Several European markets are currently under consideration, while commercial deployment will depend on regulatory approvals and operational testing.

The partnership reflects growing efforts by Chinese mobility companies to participate in the global robotaxi market, not only as technology providers but also as potential operators in overseas markets.
