
In order to assist traditional foreign trade enterprises and cross-border e-commerce enterprises in accelerating the exploration of new markets and launching new sites, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce has jointly launched a cross-border e-commerce new market expansion initiative with global major platforms. The first batch of 20 participating cross-border platforms includes AliExpress, Lazada, Daraz, Taobao Global, Alibaba.com , Amazon, Jikoo, Voghion, Made-in-China.com, eMarketplace, Inniverse, Sweaterpi, Poizon, OTTO, Rakuten, Newegg, Shopee, Wildberries, Egatee, and Ozon Global.
Zhejiang's current cross-border e-commerce new market expansion initiative targets the global consumer market, covering markets in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, South America, Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, as well as Japan and South Korea. It also encompasses over 40 industrial belts in Zhejiang Province, such as the Shaoxing home textile and umbrella industries, the Jinhua small commodities and hardware industries, the Huzhou office furniture and children's clothing industries, the Ningbo small household appliances and large furniture industries, the Wenzhou footwear and auto parts industries, the Jiaxing home textile and sweater industries, the Quzhou outdoor products industry, the Lishui stainless steel industry, and the Zhuji socks industry.
It is reported that various cross-border platforms have introduced a series of preferential measures to help merchants reduce costs and improve efficiency. For example, AliExpress, Lazada, Taobao Global, etc., provide exclusive green channels for docking, reduction or exemption of deposit and commission fees, as well as free shipping for multiple categories and returns in multiple regions. Additionally, Voghion supports Zhejiang merchants by waiving annual fees and deposits, providing green channel reviews, and free docking with European influencer resources.
As a major foreign trade province, Zhejiang's total import and export volume reached CNY 53 trillion in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%. Among them, the total export volume reached CNY 39 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%, accounting for 15.3% of the national share, ranking second in the country in terms of scale.
