On April 16, at the "Tencent Cloud Day Japan 2025" held in Tokyo, Tencent Cloud announced that it would "settle in" Osaka and build its third availability zone in Japan. Together with the existing two availability zones in Tokyo, they will form Tencent Cloud's service network covering 21 geographical regions and 56 availability zones globally. The aim is to provide more efficient infrastructure support for enterprises and partners in the Kansai region of Japan and facilitate the accelerated development of Japan's digital economy.

Over the past five years, Tencent Cloud has achieved continuous double-digit high growth in the Japanese market. In the media field, Tencent Cloud has assisted platforms such as Pokekara and ColorSing, supporting low-latency live broadcasts for over one million viewers. The live streaming platform MIXCHANNEL, with a cumulative user base of 17 million and a monthly active user count of 5 million, has optimized user interaction experiences through Tencent Cloud's AI beauty filters and media solutions.

Previously, at the Tencent Cloud Shanghai Summit held in March, Tang Daosheng publicly stated that Tencent Cloud would continue to increase investment in overseas infrastructure. It plans to build its first data center in the Middle East in Saudi Arabia, with an investment of over USD 150 million (CNY 1,096.2 million) in the Middle East. It also plans to invest USD 500 million in Indonesia to build its third data center there.

At present, Tencent Cloud's international business has maintained double-digit growth for three consecutive years. As of 2024, Tencent Cloud has cumulatively exceeded 10,000 overseas customers, with its business covering more than 80 countries and regions in Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, etc.
