On April 10th, XPeng announced a collaboration with Sime Darby Motors to broaden its business scope. Through this partnership, XPeng Motors aims to provide the latest smart electric vehicles to consumers in the Hong Kong market, along with comprehensive guidance throughout the purchasing process, including brand showrooms, after-sales support, and anticipates commencing deliveries starting in the third quarter of this year.

Additionally, XPeng Motors disclosed its plans for the Macau market, where it will collaborate with Sun Kwong Group, with deliveries of left-hand drive vehicles expected to commence in May this year.

Dr. Brian Gu, Vice Chairman and President of XPeng Motors, expressed during the signing ceremony, "Today marks another milestone in XPeng Motors' development. With our advanced smart electric vehicle technology and innovative mobility solutions, XPeng Motors is committed to providing Hong Kong car owners with a smarter, more convenient, and environmentally friendly driving experience. Sime Darby Motors' extensive sales experience in the Hong Kong automotive market will significantly boost our confidence in achieving success in the Hong Kong market."

In addition to Hong Kong and Macau, XPeng Motors is rapidly expanding into other regional markets. In March of this year, the company announced its official entry into the German market, launching two models, the XPeng G9 and XPeng P7. In the future, XPeng Motors will progressively enter other European markets, including France, Italy, and the United Kingdom, as well as markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

CEO He Xiaopeng stated in this year's internal kickoff message that 2024 marks the first year of XPeng Motors' "Internationalization V2.0." The company will focus on core market layout in regions such as Europe, ASEAN, the Middle East, Latin America, and Oceania, enhancing product localization adaptation (including left-hand and right-hand drive), and comprehensively building a new path for globalization in terms of products, smart driving, and brand.

Some analysts believe that further expanding into overseas markets is a crucial step for XPeng Motors to boost its sales. Data shows that in March of this year, XPeng Motors delivered a total of 9,026 new vehicles. In the first quarter of this year, the company delivered approximately 21,800 new vehicles. During the same period, deliveries for other emerging electric vehicle manufacturers were as follows: over 80,000 for Li Auto, around 33,400 for Zhidou Auto, and over 30,000 for NIO.
