A judge in Louisiana issued a temporary injunction on June 27 local time, temporarily preventing Louisiana from implementing the abortion ban. Louisiana is one of the 13 states with "trigger laws", that is, once the Supreme Court overturns the landmark decision in the "Roe v. Wade case", abortion can be banned or severely restricted within the state. The U.S. Supreme Court overturned the "Roe v. Wade case" that established the right to abortion on June 24.
