Pumped storage industry development report released: the scale of "the 14th five year plan" reached 100 million kilowatts

The first domestic report on the development of pumped storage industry that systematically summarizes and comprehensively summarizes the development of pumped storage industry predicts that some units of pumped storage power stations under construction in Dunhua, Jilin, Huanggou, Heilongjiang and Fengning, Hebei will be put into operation for power generation in 2022, with an operation scale of about 9million kW. By the end of 2022, the total installed capacity of pumped storage power station will reach about 45million kW, and the approved scale will exceed 50million kW. In the long run, the scale of pumped storage construction in China will jump sharply in the future. With the commencement of a large number of pumped storage projects with superior construction conditions, the number of pumped storage power stations to be built during the "14th five year plan" period will exceed 200, the scale of built and under construction will jump to 100 million kilowatts, and the scope of development, construction and service will achieve full coverage of the mainland region. Considering the reasonable construction period of projects under construction, it is estimated that the installed capacity of pumped storage power stations in China will reach 62million kW by 2025.
