On May 25, EqualOcean (亿欧) learned that the consumer-grade spatial camera company Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) recently completed tens of millions of RMB in Angel+ round financing. This round of financing was led by SenseTime Guoxiang Capital / SenseCapital (商汤国香资本), with CDH VGC (鼎晖VGC) and FreeS Fund (峰瑞资本) participating as follow-on investors. Profound Capital (深渡资本) served as the exclusive financial advisor for the subsequent round.

It is reported that a month ago, Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) had just completed an angel round financing of tens of millions of yuan invested by FreeS Fund (峰瑞资本) and Hongtai Fund / Hongtai Aplus (洪泰基金).

Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) was established in November 2025 and is a spatial intelligence company with Camera+AI as its core direction, founded by Zhang Ji, who comes from Manycore Tech (群核科技), the first stock in spatial intelligence that just went public on the Hong Kong stock market. Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) hopes to define a new category of AI hardware—the Spatial Camera: from capturing space to training the world, Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) is not just a consumer-grade content creation tool, but also a real-world 3D data entry point for the AI and robotics era.

Physically and geometrically correct 3DGS library

Traditional 3D reconstruction technology has long been limited to professional niche scenarios such as surveying and mapping, industry, and film and television. The equipment costs are high, the technical workflow is complex, and it relies heavily on professional operators and high-performance computing power, making it difficult for ordinary users and light professional users to actually use it. Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) launched its first product, Pebble, highly integrating cutting-edge technologies such as 3D Gaussian Splatting, multi-sensor fusion, edge-cloud collaboration, and AI-native interaction into a consumer-grade spatial camera, significantly lowering the barrier to 3D spatial data acquisition. Unlike traditional 3D scanners, Pebble achieves "what you see is what you scan" and "what you scan is what you get." Users can quickly capture real 3D scenes just like taking photos or videos, easily completing the generation, editing, and immersive sharing of 3D spaces, efficiently converting the physical world into standardized spatial data that is computable, parsable, and reusable.

Currently, the robotics industry is conducting extensive exploration around VLA and teleoperation data. More and more viewpoints believe that for robots to truly move towards general capabilities, they cannot rely solely on high-cost and difficult-to-scale teleoperation. The focus of data collection may undergo structural changes: the proportion of teleoperation data will decrease, first-person human videos, spatial sensor data, and continuous behavior data in real environments will become the new "staple food" for robot model training.

This is exactly what Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) collected through spatial cameras: Sensorized Human Data with first-person perspective, 3D structure, semantic information, and real scale. This type of data can be used to build more realistic spatial world models, helping robots understand environmental layout, object relationships, traversable areas, and task context. It can also feed back into embodied intelligence simulation, real-time robot spatial perception, and model training. Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) is defining the data acquisition infrastructure of the robotics era.

Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) has a full-stack team that understands 3D data, spatial intelligence, world models, and large-scale cloud computing. The competition for spatial cameras is not about a single-point algorithm or a single hardware product, but a systems engineering involving algorithms, sensors, cloud computing power, data processing, product experience, and the ecosystem loop. One of the core barriers of Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) comes from the team's composite Know-how in 3D data, spatial intelligence, world models, and large-scale cloud computing.

The company founder Zhang Ji is the former Vice President of Manycore Tech (群核科技), the first stock in global spatial intelligence, long at the forefront of 3D graphics, spatial design, cloud rendering, and the commercialization of spatial data, with deep involvement in large-scale spatial data processing, cloud rendering platform construction, and the implementation of spatial intelligence products, possessing extremely rare industry insights into "how to turn complex 3D technology into scalable products."

Aside from the founder, Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) core team also includes experts from internationally leading 3DGS, 3D reconstruction, and simulation graphics laboratories, such as Guo Jie, a tenured associate professor at Nanjing University (南京大学), the person in charge of 2C consumer electronics hit products with sales in the tens of millions, experts in large-scale cloud computing and cloud rendering technology, and experts in multi-sensor fusion software and hardware engineering, among others. This is also the key reason why Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) was able to start with consumer-grade spatial cameras and further connect world models with robotics data infrastructure: the team understands not only how spatial data is collected, but also how it is computed, rendered, and understood, and ultimately becomes training assets usable by robots.

Yu Jun, Partner at SenseTime Guoxiang Capital / SenseCapital (商汤国香资本), stated: The computability, comprehensibility, and editability of the physical world are the foundation and base for future application development, and every individual will become both a contributor and a user of this base. Mr. Zhang's team is particularly well-suited to provide users with solid, accessible, and easy-to-use ultimate product solutions. The team also has a particularly deep understanding and familiarity with the early user base. We look forward to Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) becoming the Insta360 for perceiving and computing the "4D world".

Mou Liushan, Vice President of CDH VGC (鼎晖VGC), stated: The integration of the physical and digital worlds is an irreversible trend, and 3DGS cameras are the bridge connecting the two. Currently, technological breakthroughs in 3DGS and the precipitous drop in LiDAR costs have brought about a market inflection point for the rapid development of 3DGS cameras. The Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) team relied on keen insight and deep accumulation to enter the market at the right time with precise product definition; in the future, it can further grow upwards into data infrastructure for embodied intelligence and holds even more possibilities. We look forward to working with the Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) team to witness the future where the real world is recaptured and understood.

Ma Rui, partner at FreeS Fund (峰瑞资本), stated: Congratulations to the company on completing the new financing in just one month. FreeS Fund (峰瑞资本) continued to invest because they are very optimistic about founder Zhang Ji and the team's execution. We look forward to Zhuma Innovation (竹马创新) launching a consumer-grade spatial camera and becoming a new data entry point for world models.
