BYD to Enter Thai Passenger Car Market

Teamed up with Thailand local producer, BYD announced to enter into the Thai passenger car market officially.

BYD and REVER Automotive held a brand launch in Bangkok to announce their official entry into the Thai passenger car market recently.

According to BYD, Thailand's electric vehicle market is seeing explosive growth. The Thai government plans that by 2030, Thailand's electric vehicle production is expected to account for 30% of total vehicle production, and Thailand may become an important new energy vehicle market center in Southeast Asia, which also provides an unprecedented opportunity for BYD to enter the Thai market.

REVER Automotive, the cooperator of BYD, is a Thai new energy vehicle dealership committed to zero emissions. Pratarnwong Phornprapha, president of REVER Automotive, believes that  relying on environmental protection technology and green eco-system, REVER is committed to providing people with new energy solutions, which is a new starting point, a new opportunity, and will create and inspire new possibilities.

Liu Xueliang, general manager of BYD Asia Pacific Automotive Sales Division, said, "Back in 2018, we launched the first batch of pure electric cabs in Thailand. Together with the Thai government and partners, we will bring leading technologies and quality products to the Thai market one after another, allowing Thailand to lead the new energy trend."

In addition, BYD revealed that it will participate in the 39th Thailand International Motor Show this year to showcase more models for the local area. In the future, BYD will give full play to the advantages of the whole industrial chain and core technologies, and carry out localization and  contribute to the construction of a green, intelligent and convenient mobility ecology in Thailand.
