CXMT Nabs CNY 15.65 Bn Financing

The DRAM memory manufacturing start-up is aiming at building domestically-developed DRAM production lines in China.

On December 14, 2020, CXMT receives CNY 15.65 billion financings to support its integrated circuit manufacturing base project. The main investors include Big Fund Phase II, Anhui State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Gigadevice Semiconductor, and Yangtze River Economic Zone Industrial Fund.

 Founded in 2016, CXMT is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Innotron Memory. The company is the only domestic DRAM memory manufacturer in China. In February 2020, CXMT storage announced that it has developed DDR4 and lpddr4x memories in 19 nm process, which is also the first domestic-developed DRAM chip in China. In May, a number of memory modules carrying the company's 10 nm DDR4 chips come into the market. According to a person who is familiar with this company, CXMT has invested over CNY 220 billion in the integrated circuit manufacturing base project.
