Alibaba.com's Exports to RCEP Members Increased by 30% YoY in H1 2022

​The cooperation between RECP and Alibaba.com displays a promising outlook for foreign trade businesses.

The export value of Ali International Station platform merchants to RCEP member countries increased by 30% year-on-year in the first half of this year. Among them, the year-on-year growth of exports to Indonesia and the Philippines reached 60% and 55% respectively.

In the second quarter of this year, RCEP member countries occupy 7 seats in the Ali International Station global export value of the top 20 countries. Among them, Australia, Japan, Korea and the Philippines are in the top 10. 

In the first half of 2022, the core industries in the mentioned cooperation above concentrated on machinery, automotive and motorcycle parts, home improvement building materials, packaging and printing, home gardening, beauty and personal care, sports and entertainment and clothing.

Data show that in the first half of this year, China's trade with RCEP member countries grew by 5.6% year on year and digitization is becoming the growth engine of foreign trade.

The opportunities of globalization signified by the cooperation between Ali International Station and RECP are considerable. The station is helping more domestic small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises through digital service to do cross-border business with buyers from RCEP member countries.
