The starting point of Mr. Perez's experience was in Peru, where he received the title of Systems Engineer and completed a Masters' Degree in Administration. Soon, he moved to the US, where he obtained his MBA from Columbia Business School. Since then, he has built a successful career, working in prominent firms and handling managerial positions. Mr. Perez was a Vice President at Citigroup, a Senior Consultant at IBM, and Strategy Consultant at McKinsey & Co. His trajectory has made him one of the most influential executives and speakers in the technology industry.
Mr. Perez is widely recognized as a thought leader on new technologies, from 5G to quantum computing, passing through artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. He has presented in front of thousands of top executives around the world through keynote speeches at major forums. Additionally, Mr. Perez has worked as a consultant, leading corporate training programs for global companies, helping their leadership to position their firms towards the future and incorporate disruptive technologies into their business strategies.
Mr. Perez has presented his insights in multiple institutions around the world, with previous visits to Beijing, Berlin, Hong Kong, London, New York, and Washington, among other global hubs. His engagements include conferences run by the Council on Foreign Relations, Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University (Kiev), Quant Investment & HFT Summit APAC (Shanghai), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (Washington DC), CFA Singapore, Hong Kong Securities Institute, Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University, University of International Business and Economics (Beijing) and Hult International Business School (Shanghai), and other public and private entities.
Mr. Perez is also the author of multiple books, with titles like 'The AI Breakthrough', ‘Knightmare on Wall Street', and 'The Speed Traders.' These publications explore deeply the influence of artificial intelligence in the business sector, the risks in the financial markets, and the phenomenon of the high-frequency trading revolution. Furthermore, Mr. Perez has contributed as an analyst for The New York Times, China’s International Finance, and Sina Finance.
