On September 26, Sweden-based automotive safety equipment manufacturer Autoliv announced plans to establish a joint venture with Chinese EV electronics company Hangsheng Electric (航盛电子) to develop and produce automotive safety electronic products for the Chinese market. Under the agreement, Autoliv will hold a 40% stake, and the new company is expected to be established in Q1 2026, pending regulatory approval. Autoliv said the partnership will combine both parties’ innovation and operational strengths to advance vehicle safety technologies. The venture will serve domestic Chinese clients while also providing advanced solutions and technical support to overseas markets.
