According to the report of the Ministry of health of Singapore on the evening of June 24 local time, 7 residents living in different units in a residential building in Jalan Hong Shan, Singapore, were diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis within a year. There are 749 residents in the residential building. The local Ministry of Health conducted a tuberculosis test for the residential building from May 27 to 31. 574 people were tested, of which 170 were positive. The local Ministry of Health said that further tests were needed to determine whether these people were infected with tuberculosis or had contracted active tuberculosis. The local Ministry of health also said that a new round of tuberculosis testing and chest X-ray will be conducted from June 24 to 25. Testing is mandatory under the infectious diseases act.
