The Canadian automobile safety regulator said on Thursday that it had launched an investigation into the heat pump system of Tesla Model 3 and model y vehicles after 16 consumer complaints that the system could not operate normally in cold weather. Transport Canada said it was concerned that the faulty heating and air-conditioning system "may affect the windshield defogging / defrosting, thereby affecting the driver's visibility". The regulator said it had informed Tesla of the investigation.
