Recently, an international research team led by Liu Dunyi, researcher of Beijing ion probe center, Institute of geology, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, China Geological Survey, and Professor Alexander nemchin, overseas senior visiting scholar of the Institute of geology, Curtin University, Australia, conducted chronological, elemental and isotopic analysis of the chang'e-5 lunar basalt, It is proved that magmatism still existed on the moon 1.96 billion years ago, which provides key scientific evidence for perfecting the evolution history of the moon.
