Changhe group, the flagship company of the Hong Kong tycoon Li Ka Shing family, announced that it had reached a number of agreements with ooredoo group in Qatar to merge H31 and indosat, their telecommunications subsidiaries in Indonesia. The scale of the transaction was about US $6 billion. H31 is a subsidiary of Changhe, which holds 66.976% equity, while indosat is a subsidiary of ooredoo. After the merger, the two sides will become the second largest telecommunications company in Indonesia, with an annual revenue of US $3 billion.
