ZF IAA is the world's first modular electric drive component and the first supercomputer in Europe

At the IAA Exhibition on September 6, ZF showed the cutting-edge innovations of electric drive and on-board central computer, including the world's first modular electric drive components and the European first "Cairui star" (proai). The world's first modular electric drive components show ZF's strength in the field of electric drive. It integrates the technologies of ZF's entire electric drive team in system solutions, parts and software control on one platform. The new electric drive unit made of all modular electric drive components can bring improvements in energy density, weight and efficiency. In addition, ZF's modular electric drive components can be applied to a variety of products from compact models to luxury models. The parameters from 75 to 400 kW power and 350 to 540 nm torque are compatible, which can provide a certain technical basis for automobile manufacturers to build the next generation of pure electric models. The latest generation of "cairuixing" is a supercomputer based on flexibility and functionality specially built for the automotive industry in the current market. After combining a high proportion of standardized components, ZF also integrates the most critical elements of the system through its unique solutions. The product has scalable performance from 20 teraops to 1000 teraops. The performance is 66% higher than that of the previous generation, reducing energy consumption by 70%. The product size is 24x14x5cm. ZF has ensured that its activities will be carbon neutral in 2040 and plans to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 80% in 2030 compared with 2019.
